I'M GLAD YOU'RE HERE
Worship leading can be the loneliest job in the church. You plan, you pray, you rehearse, you lead, and most Sundays nobody asks how you are doing. I built NYC Worship Leader because I know exactly what that feels like, and I know what helps.
HI, I'M PATRICK
I've been leading worship for 30 years, since I was 13. For the last two decades I've been a worship pastor in New York City, where I've helped plant over a dozen churches and built worship teams from scratch in some of the most demanding ministry contexts you can imagine.
MY STORY
I started singing in studios as a kid in Orlando, including a few tunes for Barney (yes, the purple dinosaur). But the studio was never the point. The local church is.
In New York I've led teams where Broadway actors, jazz musicians, and rock drummers sit side by side with volunteers who just learned their instrument. I've led solo when nobody showed up to rehearsal. I've rebuilt teams after burnout, mine included.
Everything I teach comes from real Sundays in real churches, not theory.
WHY DO I COACH?
Because I needed this and it did not exist. Most worship training assumes a megachurch budget and a full-time staff. Most worship leaders have neither.
I create resources and coaching for the leaders actually doing the work: bivocational, volunteer, stretched thin, and still showing up every Sunday.
MY CALLING
My calling is simple: to encourage, equip, and empower worship leaders and teams. Not just to help you work harder, but to help you lead from a place of rest, health, and wholeness.
When I'm not leading worship, I'm home with my wife and our three boys, or filming gear reviews nobody asked for.
